Fewer false alarms. Built for WordPress.

Your host says 200 OK. Your visitors see a critical error. UptimeGlass checks your sites from the outside and from inside WordPress, so the alert tells you which one it is.

Free also for commercial sites. No card needed.

What a 200 OK hides

Most monitors ask one question: did the server answer? WordPress answers even when it is broken. A small plugin lets us ask WordPress itself.

Connects in one click

The plugin pairs the site with your account and sends alerts to the WordPress admin e-mail until you choose another address.

Nothing added to your pages

No scripts, styles or work on page loads. The plugin only answers our authenticated health check.

Years of history

Checks are summarised and kept: 3 years on Solo, 5 years on Team. Zoom from a day to a year in the same chart.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Install the plugin

Add UptimeGlass from the WordPress plugin directory, like any other plugin.

  2. Step 2

    Start monitoring

One click in Settings creates your account with the site admin e-mail. No URL to copy, no key to paste.

  3. Step 3

    Get on with your day

We check the site around the clock and write only when something is really wrong – and say what it is.

Questions

Is the Free plan really free for commercial sites?

Yes. Free monitors up to 10 WordPress sites every 5 minutes, client and business sites included. There is no trial period and no card to enter.

How is this different from a ping or keyword monitor?

A ping only learns that the server answers. WordPress often answers "200 OK" with a database error or a critical error page. UptimeGlass reads the page like a visitor and asks the plugin inside WordPress about the database, WP-Cron and the last fatal error, so the alert says what broke.

Will I get alerts while WordPress updates itself?

No. WordPress maintenance mode is shown as maintenance, not downtime. If an update is still stuck after 15 minutes, you get one alert that says so.

How do you avoid false alarms?

A failed check is repeated 15 seconds later before anything is sent. Short maintenance, backups and our own plugin updates are recognised and do not count as downtime.

Does the plugin slow my site down?

No. The plugin adds no scripts or styles to your pages and does nothing on page loads. It only answers a small authenticated request from our checks.

Do I have to install the plugin?

On Free, yes: the plugin connects the site and is what lets us see inside WordPress. Solo and Team can also monitor any URL without the plugin.

Can my clients see the uptime of their site?

Yes. Every plan includes a public status page. Solo and Team can put it on your own domain and give a client a read-only viewer login that shows only the monitors you pick (Solo 3, Team 20 viewers). Team also sends a white-label PDF report to your clients each month.

Know before your client calls.

Install the plugin and your first site is monitored right away.
